DESCRIPTION: "Swamp" genre map was at first an experiment of importing textures
to JQT from the Quake PAKs that turned out pretty cool, so I elaborated a bit......I
tried to make it more of a "tactics" oriented map by including only supershotguns
at the spawn points and one grenade launcher.....there is an exit, set behind
these teeny stone walls at one corner and marked by light globes and lava-balls.
Use the "trees" as cover, and defend the Quad. Don't drown.
-----------------------------------------------
SINGLE PLAYER: yes - it was going to be DM only, but I added an exit for
server use and decided what the hell and (very conservatively) added 3 Ogres,
some Rotfish, a Hell-Knight guarding the exit and a platoon of Zombies
stumbling around in the mangroves. Your mission is to clean the scum out of the
pond and exit the level. Conserve your ammo, Trooper, and good luck.

CO-OPERATIVE ENGAGEMENT: no - "I work alone"

DEATHMATCH: yes - tested with Reaper and Omibots to great satisfaction

NEW TEXTURES: no (well, Quake1 textures imported to JQT via VISAGE)
NEW MUSIC: Quake has music?
QUAKE C: what's that?
KNOWN BUGS: notta

NOTES: Gee whizz....what's this, my 8th decent Quake level? Had a few free hours
last night after my phone line got yanked/no Internet...wanted to make a DOOM2 level,
made this instead; still kind of working on it. Which is funny, cos I really was
just messing around with Visage and JQT and took a liking to what I'd done - not
enough "swamp" maps out there for me. I was trying to ignore single player attributes
and just make a multiplayer map (yes I've been reading about Quake III too), the first
time I'd ever left monsters out, but went back and added some to extend the map's
usefulness. I also have grown weary of being battered around by the Bots and their
stinking rocket launchers and supernailguns so I just used shotguns and ONE pineapple
mill (no luck/got my ass soundly kicked first game)......stretched a sky texture
under the ceiling, gave it a title and wrote this textfile. Bingo - there you
go folks: one more Quake level for the pile.

PS: This level exits into "bog.bsp", and if you don't have both files loaded into
your id/maps folder you will get an error bulletin upon exiting.

THANX TO: Giles Williams for JQT (yeah I'm still too cheap for Quiver); whomever
did VISAGE; id for Quake and the DOOM games; Ricardo Sheets and Bill Morris for
ignoring me for a night and letting me work on this; Matt Melnick for pissing me
off and getting me to add lighting (it made the level, Herb!); Bell Atlantic
for cutting my phone cable and giving me nothing better to do; DogStar and all
of the other sickos at MacQuakeInfinity for putting up with my annoying
little news posts and continuing obsession with DOOM2; Chupacabras for encouraging
me to write another map; Blue and JVOX for plugging my site even though it
probably doesn't deserve it (just ask Maddes!!); Opulent, DJReather,
the Demolition Man and Mark "Lucifer" Brown for being cool and writing maps that
have inspired me; the lovely bartenders at Galapagos on N.6th St. in
Williamsburg, Brooklyn, for watering me down on the weekends, Harry the Hat
for fronting me weed when I need it, and idSoftware for Wolf3d --> Quake3a
HI MOM!!
