Inspiration - SP:

"It was a mystery all insoluble; nor could I grapple with
the shadowy fancies that crowded upon me as I pondered.
I was forced to fall back upon the unsatisfactory conclusion,
that while, beyond doubt, there are combinations of very
simple natural objects which have the power of thus affecting
us, still the analysis of this power lies among considerations
beyond our depth. It was possible, I reflected, that a mere
different arrangement of the particulars of the scene, of the
details of the picture, would be sufficient to modify, or
perhaps to annihilate its capacity for sorrowful impression;
and, acting upon this idea, I reined my horse to the
precipitous brink of a black and lurid tarn..."

Inspiration - DM:

"Blood red were the spurs i' the golden moon;
Wine red was his velvet coat,
When they shot him down on the highway,
Down like a dog on the highway,
And he lay in his blood on the highway,
With a bunch of lace at his throat."

ALFRED NOVES - The Highwayman

DESCRIPTION:
Small "Keep" themed SP/DM Level for Quake. Produced for
the Coagula2 Comp run by UnderWorldFan. In keeping with ELEK's
original Coagula series, the aim was to make the level
enjoyable in both modes (even though only SP was
considered for comp purposes).

OTHER LEVELS BY AUTHOR:

Start: One Hundred Brush Brutality - The controversial start
map for the original Quake 100 brush competition run by
Aardappel.

abab: Abject Abcess - 8th placed entry for the original Quake
100 brush competition run by Aardappel.

pdbq_sp1: Recurrent Rumours - Eclectic old skool medieval SP
level that was lauded for its interesting gameplay.

dis_cr8z: Dismembered Crates - Ogro inspired other worldly
base. Winner of the third 100 brush competition run by
metlslime, XeN and Fern.

* Construction *

From scratch.

Quake (yaaaaaay for ID)
Worldcraft (thanx Ben)
TexMex (thanx Mickey)
MSPaint (thanx *cough* Bill)
WQBSP (thanx Ken and John)

TEXTURES:
Most importantly, the "Doom that came to Dunwich" texture set
for Q1 (ik2k.wad). Iikka 'Fingers' Kernen did the original
texture design and Robert 'Fat Controller' Cruickshank did the
conversion to Q1. BTW 'Fatty' won the Coagula1 contest =) .
Iikka's contribution to the Q1 community is... well... words
fail me.

Otherwise, Daikatana plus "metal8" collected from Q1, MP1 and
MP2. As well as the recessed pentagram light and stacked
skulls 'CZG' used in "Insomnia", and in DM mode a spawn tablet
from 'Kell's "Knave" texture set. The latter two persons r4Wk!

COMPILE INFO:
Jack 'Scragbait' Meacher stepped in when my ancient pedal
driven system choked on vis. You da man Scraggy!
