Description             : About 170 new textures in 24bit color and
                          high resolution (as needed for Q3A).

                          This set is currently kind of heavy on trims...
                          I have different colored versions of most of
                          them, for all you CTF mappers out there.

                          I haven't done any "special" textures for this
                          set, so you'll have to keep using those old
                          jump pads and liquids. 

                          Included are example shaders for the lights
                          and skies... Nothing fancy yet, so you should
                          be prepared to make your own shaders based on
                          these, depending on what your map needs
                          (Different light values etc). You should copy
                          the shaders to a file of your own before using
                          or modifying them, so there's not going to be 
                          conflicts if/when I update them.

                          I also recommend placing the texture files in
                          a directory of your own, again to reduce future
                          conflicts, and also to make it easier to manage
                          the textures when you're distributing your map.

Installation            : Unzip the zip file into your quake3/baseq3/
                          directory, restoring the subdirectories.

                          ikbaseq3_hq.zip is high quality (tga), and
                          ikbaseq3_lq.zip is low quality (jpg). Note that
                          the low quality textures have to be in a pk3 file
                          in order to work in game. They're ideal for
                          public distribution because they're a lot smaller
                          and maps are usually distributed in pk3 files
                          anyway.

Base                    : Mostly from scratch, some photos used as layers.
Editor(s) used          : GFX2, Photoshop, a couple of my own utils.
Known Bugs              : Bugs in textures? Hmm.. I don't think so.
Build Time              : A week or so.

These textures may be freely used and distributed, under the following
conditions:

- My name (Iikka Keranen) is mentioned. With single levels, the "Additional
  credits" section is where you put my name. With conversions and level
  paks, or projects involving several people, I would be a "co-author".

- The website where one can find these textures is mentioned, so other people
  will find them: http://www.planetquake.com/ikq/

- No money is charged for distributing this texture set or ANY PRODUCT USING
  THESE TEXTURES. I am the only person who has the right to get money from
  selling these textures. You use them for free, you distribute them free!

- These textures are not modified without my permission; Modified textures
  remain my property. Modified versions of this texture set, or combinations
  of this and other sets may not be distributed, EXCEPT as a .pk3 file that
  contains levels using these textures.

If you wish to use these textures, or levels containing these textures,
in a commercial product such as level collection CD-ROM, total conversion,
mission pack or any product that is sold for money, you MUST contact me
