HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MozillaPlugins
Add an entry there and it might pick it up (FireFox and Opera do).
Most 3rd party plugins (media players etc) put an entry there.
If this plugin had a real installer, it would install somewhere randomish and shove a registry entry there so it can be located and loaded as required.
Chrome may not even have a plugins dir as it can use this reg key instead.
