is one of THE sites on the net for quality Quake map reviews and information.
Concise clearly written reviews combined with sharp screen captures of
the reviewed levels bring each level to life. As an excellent level author
himself (Arcane being his most recent) Matt is
able to speak from an author's as well as a players point of view providing
insights that others just do not include.
Matt's favorite (or favourite
if you want to spell it incorrectly :-) are gathered together in a Top
Ten Classics list. You will also find the usual Latest
Levels (new levels) and Level Archives
(the big alphabetized storage bin for previous levels) and a separate listing
for Matt's own level creations aptly titled Matt's
Levels. Q-Talk contains some really
fascinating interviews with authors and others in the Quake Community.
Also available is a witty and informative (not always easy to pull off)
"frequently asked questions" help page entitled SPQ
Faq. Matt also includes an Essential Links

BOTTOMLINE
Timeliness of updates are
very current (although at the time of this writing this site is on an announced
rest period), and usually lead off with a relevant quote or saying. While
you won't find every level available here (Matt only features those levels
which he likes) if you are only checking around at a few sites for your
single player Quake levels, this should be one of your first stops.
