Basically what if John Romero and American McGee's maps spawned an unholy offspring. This level takes cues from levels such as DM4 (obviously) but also E1M8, E2M6, E3M3, E3M4, E3M6 and K1M10. It features non-linear progression at first and then goes into more linear, though convoluted and involved territory with shitfting geometry, button pushing, traps, ambushes and LAVA. I used outdated compilers that treat func_detail as solid hull for convenience and speed. Don't be surprised when you open the map source and see this. I decided to go for the whole E2-ish swamp/cave aesthetic after playing a version of DM4 with remixed textures by Kell. I had no idea at all how I could do a DM4 inspired map since I found the theme highly restrictive. It all started with the swamp/cave idea, but soon evolved to also include an indoor, more traditional DM4/metal area on top of the caves. As usual the map grew bigger than I anticipated but I think it works very well overall. Quakespasm 0.93.0. is the engine of choice. * Known Bugs * Fishes are counted twice if you use a vanilla progs.dat. Fishes can sometimes develop transdimensional abilities and get out of bounds if you don't kill them.
