Notes: I have to say I wasn't too impressed with the general appearance of the level. My first reaction to the layout and textures in the outer courtyard just didn't tickly my fancy.

But you should never judge a book by it's cover, or so they say. Once I started roaming the level and getting to know it, I realised that the reason I didn't like the main outside courtyard is because I just found it very narrow and suffocating. I guess I am just so used to playing on maps that have so much more running room in the main space seperating the two forts.

I don't find much of the architecture all that eye pleasing. But it definitely serves a purpose and has been well laid out for all classes. Besides the suffocating narrowness that seems to be a trademark of this map, I think the layout is great. It isn't too confusing nor just another exact duplicate of the usual 2forts map. This map could use a good makeover. If we can just get rid of some of the very bland and overused textures this map could be a great deal more appealing. Let's face it, if players just don't get a good impression on first entering the map, chances are they might just ignore it.

That would be a shame, because what this map lacks in aesthethics, it definitely makes up for in gameplay and I give it a 5 (excellent) in gameflow. Because this map makes use of some very ingenious entity work.

When you capture the flag, not only does your team get frags, but your base gets UPGRADED! This is the first time I've seen something like this in a map. This is a kick ass idea and the author has done a great job with it! I still haven't found the way IN for the lower sniper hide.. maybe the author intended for it to be hard to find, but I just got annoyed and quit looking for it.

The only reason I didn't give this map a higher score is because I think the author could really do a great deal more work to the look and feel of this promising map.
