Tho the Guild is long dead, I remember those who used to be here, and now I remember those who may never have heard of TF and even those who did, all who lost lives, families, and innocence on September 11, 2001 who may stumble across this site. I post this because I still can (GameSpy has no security it seems). I am an American; our founder at GuildCentral and his friend the first HWG leader are both British, and I'm sure several other former Fatmen are from other countries. We were a community, brothers in arms so to speak. Now the civilized world are brothers in arms and God (who cares nothing about petty BS factions) willing we will all stamp out terrorism and learn to respect each other's views without having to murder each other over them. Whether atheist (who would have no opinion regarding anything a god would think) or a believer in any kind of rational god (who would imagine no scenario in which a God would give an OK for some of his creations to murder his other creations in His name no less) the reality is that evil is abroad in the world and must be crushed. No one in any country is now safe until then. Those who pray, I ask to pray and to find ways to apply their faith. Those who don't, I ask them to reflect on what humans might do to intervene in the inhumanity that's occurring and work to do something about it. The s**t is approaching the fan. We must all hang together in these times, or we will surely hang seperately. I wish you all well and thank the Guild members for their past participation. I will probably never post here again. A miacle happened!! A new member! He is .. err.. Potaten.. no playing name given, but you can get him at The Potato? and hopefully we have new blood. We need blood... lots of it.. with multiple AC wounds... shotgun shells rule. Lot's of 'em... Just don't move when shooting (TF1)...

In other news, several Q3 outfits are making TF Mods.. I won't go into it here, can't play them on this comp anyway , but PlanetFortress always gets the info so go there. You should be going there everyday anyway...

Err.. any more Members out there?

Welcome (back ?) to our newest 'old' member, the Fatman formerly known as ... 'Dar3d3v1L' who's now listed in the Roster by his new name 'Lethal". Haven't heard from any of the rest of you except Rasputin, who, sadly, let the evils of the Real World suck his mind out and replace it with a dis-interest in things TF. Good luck anyway, man, and thanks for your past hard work around here!

Ahem.. as for the rest of you, if you should stumble back across your old home, e-mail me willya? As alway, new guys are welcome, whether TF or TFC players. Staff would help too, especially any TFC gurus who'd like to contribute a TFC tactics page. If one is forthcoming I'll split the Tactics parts into both games. Tho I can't play TFC for crap on this comp I have played enough to know there are a number of different tactics/situations that apply to it. There must be, otherwise everyone and his pet Scout wouldn't be complaining about the HW in TFC on every forum I've visited...

And now for the biggest news of the day:

The Sun came up, just like I predicted when I went to sleep last night...

The Space Shuttle landed safely cuz you guys MISSED!! Target practice, folks, please; the thing's bigger than the broad side of a barn, geez.... at least the Soldiers didn't even try for it...

And I will re-introduce the Massage Bored.. err.. Message Board.... (we used to have on the left frame) a little later tonight after 'Cops' is over heh...

I'm Back

For the new people (and possibly geezers like me who've forgotten the basics), here's a few links on playing HWGuy: but, remember, some are old. Specifically, you CAN'T move while firing anymore so don't believe otherwise, and it's only 4 cells for powerup these days... check these out with a grain of salt but mostly it's accurate: Ox's site -- OLD SCHOOL -- pay attention..

Err.. the others I found appear to be no longer there... In any case, look at TF Anti-Cheat for more stuff.. Several past members have .pak files 'n stuff there. Rasputin made the Tactics page but tells me he is no longer involved in TF. You can see what he had by looking at the link on the Roster page.

It's Unconstituional..

ETF reports that the HWGuy is reduced to carrying only TWO (2) as in *2* !!! MIRV's in the new patch for TFC!! What an outrage!! Gahhh! We are labelled as 'spammers' when in reality the Demos are the offenders. DOWN WITH THE DEMO'S!!! Go to Ethereal Team Fortress to find out the whole sordid story...
Someday I'll get a comp able to play TFC on and then they'll see what a HWGuy can do with only 2 MIRV's.... In the meantime, DON'T write your Congressman, just flood Valve Software with complaints (might do some good, prolly not, but at least they'll know where WE stand...)

I'm Back
Actually, nothing to report right now... had to reformat and suddenly my HTML editor quit working after it was re-installed. Just now got it going after a week of futzing with everything. I should have a real post in a few days. I also would like any old or new members to e-mail me so I can work on getting the Roster re-done. Anyone with news of an available , stable (non-wanker) TF1 server please let me know as well. The server used for practices on Fridays runs TFC (which I can't play 'cuz this dog I use is a P166 and it's old & tired). I'd like to get a few TF1 Fatmen practicing & hanging out together on a regular basis. That's it for now. CYA.

NEW Guild Central Leader Appointed!!
OK FatGuys, listen up... We have a new Boss: he is Balor and I haven't met him yet, but will keep you posted. Or, you could actually look at Guild Central for a change. Meanwhile, clean & polish those Miniguns and take a bath for once, willya?

While I'm here, if any of you play Q2, (I don't anymore but this is a riot:), you gotta check out Cranky Steve's Haunted Whorehouse . He reviews the most horrible Q2 maps ever foisted on the unsuspecting public and pulls no punches. He rates them from '-1' (bad) to '-50' (you will die horribly vomiting with your eyeballs popping out if you play this one). One map actually made it to '-51' and Steve wasn't heard from in a few weeks, I thought it killed him. Turns out he just moved from PQ to a new server (sigh of relief). This site is one you can't pass up, you will spend hours the first time there going through the reviews he already has and roaring with laughter. Good thing he doesn't do TF maps heh...

Brand-New Fatman On The Way?
The Q3Fortress Team have come up with a New HWGuy for their Q3 'TF' project. You can see him HERE and tho I myself don't have Q3 (won't run on a P166 heh...) if you have the hardware it looks to be very cool when they're finished (gonna be awhile tho...). Check the site out from time to time, could become a competitor with TF2 for those who still are into the QW-style TF....

Errrm..... popular... well maybe not, at least untill I assess the 'state of the once-proud HWGuy Guild'.. Then I will produce a "State of the HWGuy Guild" Address. Once I know that date, I will let you know, so you can make other plans and run away..... BUT When that happens... BE HERE or........ umm not I guess.. but you might get a disease....it could be painfull.. does Desenex work on 300-armor-itch? Only Madden knows for sure.....

ATTENTION!!
The HWGuys have been ordered to stand down due to an ATF recall of all Assault Cannons. Apparently they're upset because we have no safeties installed on the weapons. We are supposed to have fingerprint-checking devices installed from now on in order to fire the things. (TAKE THAT, Spies!!!) Hehehehe.....
