Offense:
You are mainly a support class....distract and weaken the enemy,
wait outside the respawn rooms to occupy reinforcements, however,
if you have the chance to grab the flag, your good armour and
speed make you the second-best flag carrier behind the scout.
Defense:
Roam the base and damage everyone you can while warning your team
of "incomings".... throw napalm grenades into doorways
when you see the enemy coming, with your good speed, pursue the
flag carrier if he gets by the rest of the D, annoy enemy
snipers, dodge around and fire rockets into their nests (as
described above). Be a team player, defense wins games.
Special
Not many people know it, but the pyro is capable of a grenade
jump. Many of you have seen the soldiers rocket-jump around
levels, but you can do much the same thing..however there are
drawbacks too.
to grenade jump, simply prime a grenade and don't throw it, make
sure you are pressed up against the wall you want to jump over,
and are trying to move forward. ALSO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE AT
LEAST 75% HEALTH AND 50% ARMOUR, otherwise, bad things'll happen
to you. There are many places the grenade jump on various maps,
but probably the most useful is on 2fort4 and 2fort5. If you have
the flag in the enemy's basement, there is only one way out....
up the spiral.... WRONG! :-) If you have enough health, you can
grenade jump up the elevator shaft at the oposite end of the
basement and be gone before they know what's going on!! Back To Tactics Index
