Specific Strategy: 2fort

Always start behind a wall so enemy snipers do not know where you are. Unless you are in a place where you can peak out on two sides (example would be in the shadowy entrance of 2fort), do not look out to see where snipers are in the other fort. That will give your spot away. Charge your dot up on their wall so they cannot predict your position by seeing your dot.

Strafe cautiously out of your hiding spot. Keep your eyes roaming for enemy snipers and offensive players crossing the bridge. Depending on how good of an aimer you are and on your ping, either keep your dot on the enemy wall (shown above; in motion) or below the ledge (shown below) so enemies cannot see it from their fort. I recommend keeping it below the ledge so you do not give away your presence.

If you know where the enemy is coming from and you want to 'wall snipe' by keeping your body and dot stationary be sure to hide the dot either on the wall they are coming from or below on the ledge. If they are hiding behind a middle post, keep your dot where you can get them just as quickly on either end. If you choose to stand still, make sure you can easily move behind a wall in case you miss and that you are hiding enough so you will not get sniped from an unseen corner.

These are some things you might not want to do. the first picture shows a dot charging up on the wall. Well, it's good that you are charging your dot, but when you go out into the open, the enemy sniper will see your dot when you move it out (middle picture) and know you are there. If you decide to wall snipe, do not keep your dot on the back of the wall. Sometimes you will get lucky and the sniper will strafe right into your dot, but a lot of snipers will look behind them to see if there is a dot on the wall or not, knowing that you have the advantage at that point.

Main Hiding Points

Before you go off sniping in a map, be sure to know the map and its hiding spots. Know which spots are the best to snipe from; do you prefer the battlements or do you prefer going where you can emerge through two places? Keep in mind: do not keep coming from the same place.

There are 12 main spots in 2fort where a hiding sniper can emerge from. The most commonly used spots are 1, 6, 8 & 9. When a sniper respawns, he will first come into your sight, whehter it be by strafing or running, from those spots. Spots 2-6, 7 & 10 are also commonly used, but not as much as the first spots. Positions 11 & 12 are rarely used, but be sure to look in those spots because snipers will hide there.

Snipers who hide in positions 7-10 are the hardest to sight because of the shadows. Use those spots often, but not all the time; shadow sniping is a little cheaper than on the battlements, so show the enemy that you have the skill to snipe anywhere.

I would not recommend sniping in positions 11 & 12 since, because of the bug, snipers may be able to see through the wall. Ducking behind positions 3 & 4 are also not recommended since you can be seen through the walls easily and as soon as you pop up, you'll be picking up your brains.
