When you change colour change your name too. Then you can give them false
info like saying that an engineer is a spy while you are a demoman. Cause
most peopple will just look at the colour on the scores list and not notice
that it say red next to the blue colour. Submitted
by Iax. If you are getting chased in a place where deep shadows are accessible
(the roof on 2fort4 for example), run for the dark like a cockroach. As
soon as you get in the shadows, hit the dirt. A lot of the time the enemy
will be so intent on chasing you they wont see you feigning in the dark
and will run right past. Also, feigning in the dark around sniper nests
can give you a spot to hide without having to run all around and risk being
caught (try right against the slit in the wall in 2fort4 or well6.. if you
lie parallel to the wall, you're pretty much undetectable). If you're feigning and some damn camper is standing right on you, id him
and say something like "hey Bob da Man, go to the respawn room". Usually
the un-perceptive person will just stumble happily into whatever wild goose
chase you give him to see what is there, never even considering the possibility
that he was standing on you. Make sure no-one BLURTS OUT YOUR PROFESSION while you are disguised.I had
this happen to me once.Ruined my luck. Yell that someone else is a spy and lob a regular grenade at them. Every
one expects you to lob a gas grenade. Confuses the hell out of em. he he.
"Wait, no, no, I'm on your team." "Ya right" The best use I have seen of the feign is two or more spies meeting up
right outside the flag room, feigning until the time is right, and then
springing into action. Very effective and usually unexpected. Everyone knows that hallucinogen cloud is not a fatal thing, (everyone
can run thru it), thats why you might have to "boost" your cloud with 1-3
hallucinogen grenades, and give 'em a fatal surprise. You're running to the upper supply from the elevator and see a demo laying
a det in your ramp room. Take out your tranq gun, and start shooting tranq
darts at him. If you get 3 or more hit before he lays the det, you get to
see something funny! Those tranqs will slow him down like hell, and odds
are he's just laid a 5 second det. He tries to run, but he's moving like
a turtle and can't escape the blast of the det in time!
There is a soldier or sniper floating in the water wreacking havoc on your
snipers. Disguise then jump in with him, take out your tranq dart and shoot
at least 5 tranq darts in him (if you can) Then start nailing him. He'll
proably swim down to avoid the nails, but is swimming extremely slow! so
take down his health a fair bit and watch him drown.
The first thing a see a newbie spy doing is running around disquised with
thier knife out. Its a dead give away unless you are a medic or engineer.
Put that knife away till your ready to use it! What would you do if you heard a nailgun near you? Probably go find out
what enemy was shooting, right? Take care of this problem by knifing whenever
possible. It saves ammo for you inside their base and is much quieter. All
you hear is a scream and no nailgun or shotgun noise. This could mean that
the guy died from disease, suicide, or gas... wait a minute... DOH!. Submitted
by =SD= Taniwha When you are in the enemy base, disguised, of course, you may want to change
your skin. I find that the easiest way to do this is to feign death. Then
change your skin. That way people see less of your skin changing, and more
of a dead person. Of course, don't feign in the "middle of the road" Submitted
by Casebier[ST] Whenever possible, gain up yer armor and grenade jump into the enemy sniper
nest, kill all enemy snipers, then run into thier upper respawn and feign,
change skin, and then wait for an enemy to respawn. Find out an enemy's
class by looking at enemy corpses, then change skin to that. This is the
way not to get caught. The key to the spy is changing skins, but you probably
already knew that...:) |
