What is a Spy? Simple. A spy is the only character class that can walk into the enemy base unmolested and capture the flag silently.
A spy is the LAST thing you want in your base. A good spy creates havoc and vanishes, only to create more later.

So you want to BE a spy? Good choice. There are very few spies out there that are good enough to be considered, and less that can get into the top 4 frag lists consistently. To be prepare with what you are up against, you need to know what you have to start with.

Tranq Gun
This little bugger is NOT your weapon of choice in a big battle. However, If you are shooting a dart at someone who is not moving, you stand a better chance of hitting them. The reload time is very slow, and does medium damage per shot, but if you hit a target with it, they slow down, not just in speed, but in firing rate. Try using against HWguys, and you wont be killed!

Double SG
Your friend. Use it to cover an escape, but dont rely on it. DSGs require reloads, and if you are caught short, you're dead. Reload often.

Nailgun
Lay down covering fire with this baby. Its not deadly above ground, but it is VERY dangerous underwater, each shot does not only normal damage, but drowning damage too, and it shoots fast. You cant kill many with it, yet you can put a few nails in everyone's chest. and cover an escape. Learn circle strafing, it WILL save your life.

Bowie Knife
Also your friend. 2x damage from the front, 6x from the back. Excellent for killing snipers and non moving people. Switch to the DSG or nailgun if they move. Keep it hidden and only use when noone's looking, because it will give you away.

Disguises
The heart of the Spy's power. You can look like any class and color, and sneak around as a member of the other team. This is important, and you will use the "disguise" command a lot. Once you shoot or glow however, the trick is over, you look normal again.

Feign
Play dead. Its only useful when you want to spy unnoticed. But you're 3 dimensional, so people will notice when they walk over you. Feigning in shadows is better than in open light.

Gas Grenades
Creates a cloud of red gas. Does damage and causes color and sound hallucinations. Excellent covering tactic. But gives you away. Use sparingly. (Remember they do *NOT* damage Sentry Guns!)

Normal Grenades
Same as everyone else's green grenades. Very useful because you dont turn back to normal when dropping one.
