This is another very annoying one. It is caused by either being hit by an enemy medics medikit or touching one of your teammates who is infected. You gradually lose health, and unless you find a friendly medic, you will die. The most important thing to do if you are infected is to avoid you teammates. NEVER go back into respawn to get health packs - the odds are very high you'll run into and infect one or more teammates and people eill get very annoyed with you. If you are infected, call for a medic - this will have the additional benefit of warning your teammates, then just get out of your base. If you die then the enemy medic will get a kill - personally I prefer to find somewhere out of the way and grenade myself to avoid such an ignomy - you can either do that or head off to the enemy base and take as many of them with you as possible.
