This one is pretty annoying but not life threatening. If you walk through the vapour emitted by a hallucinogenic grenade you will suffer this effect. Basically, in addition to suffering damage while you are in range, you see and hear things that arn't there such as exploding grenades and nailgun nails. This can be pretty disconcerting but you get used to the effect quickly and it is quite easy to ignore. Just make sure you get out of range of the hallucinogenic grenade, as getting killed by one of these can be pretty embarassing.
