I have free time? No way! Though tonight I spent the time with Katie for a good bit then did some Grand Theft Auto with my roommate for awhile. Exciting news for me! I got a DVD player Sunday at the computer show I went to back home. Just as exciting, I got Hackers and The Matrix on DVD!! WOO! I love those movies. They are two of my all time favorite movies. I still need to sit down and play with all the extra features on The Matrix DVD. So yea anyways as I was saying. I actually have some 'free' time. I don't have anything to be doing for work for the next couple of days. I have no papers to write for the at least next week. And in the rest of my classes I shouldn't have anything to do until early next week. So what does this mean? It means I get to do work for here! First thing up is I do have a program to write for Software Engineering class but it's something that in it's final version will be posted on here for everyone to have. I figure since we have to do it anyway and if I just put a little more effort into it you guys might at least take a little interest in it. It's nothing ground breaking but it's something I take a great interest in. So what else? VorTeX FINALLY got his main computer back online (after like a damn near two month absence). So he can actually do stuff of worth now. Has anyone seen Akula? Has I haven't since I left for the weekend. Though it's quickly approaching on the holiday season and it's a screwy time for him. Hell knowing my luck I might not see him again until the new year. Of course by then we'll all be dead anyway so it won't matter one bit. (y2k sarcasm as I think the issue is blown WAY out of proportion) So what is my point in life? I'm still working on that one myself. The point of this update I do know though! It's to put something on the webpage so you all have something new to read. And to state that I might be working on stuff starting tomorrow and hopefully a good bit this weekend. Which in turn means I might have *SOMETHING* to show off sometime this lifetime. One final point for the night. I just thought I would let you all know I love Katie bunches cause she's great! And now I retire.

We were doing a little test to see how long it would take someone to post something on the message board about us not posting as of late. And X did today finally. Yea that's the ticket. Actually I had my money on Danno doing it first. Truth being is that life doesn't always allow for time for the net. At least in my case for the past good two weeks and in VorTeX's case as of late also. Of course Akula just does god knows what and uses the excuse that he 'leaves' the news to me. (I'm just fucking with him though he does say that) So what's new? Not much to tell you the truth. VorTeX and I got something we've been working on very sparingly in our 'spare' time that I think is going to kick some ass when it's done. I would have time to do stuff this weekend but I'm venturing home. Those who know me know I don't actually go home often so you'll all have to put up with it. The only reason I really am going home is there is a computer show this weekend and I want to pick up some pieces here and there. What precisely I don't know as I gotta see what is there and how much they are wanting for what before I decide on what precisely I want to get. Makes sense? I thought so too. This cracked me up this morning: I was reading the main site and The Hal mentions being motivationally challenged in his one update. Just found it humorous as I have that up over to the side about VorTeX. Ok so you want some real news about what is going on here? As I said the little free time VorTeX and I have had we've been doing this one little thing which we will hopefully have done here for next week. I haven't touched a damn thing anyone would care about. Though I did make this killer application for work that I finished last night. VorTeX I'm not really sure where he stands on anything else related to this site. Some day he'll get his REAL computer fixed so he can't bitch he's on some POS computer that can't do anything useful. Akula as always has been doing at least some work you guys will care about. He's theoretically working on three different maps right now. Though the one I want him to work on the most is the one he's doing nothing for. *FWAP* Though on the bright side I did get to see the concept for the outside of his next CTF type map. It was sweet I tell you. (I said that about Cydonia too and I wasn't wrong was I?) The best part of it is that it is totally different concept apart from any of his other work. Point being is you aren't going to see the same thing done twenty different ways when it comes to his maps. Which is what a lot of maps in the community in general suffer from. So what does this all say? Not really a whole lot but it goes to show you we haven't been sucked out into the vacuum of space...yet.

So I was looking at the webpage about 5 minutes ago and I noticed something 'odd'. VorTeX changed my little 'waste of space'. I call it that as it's a direct quote from him. So I'm a little miffed as to what that is in regards to. As at least I didn't do any name calling as of late. Of course by the time you read this if you hadn't seen it already you won't as I'm changing it again when I put this post up. So I'll have to inquire with him on that one when I FINALLY see him again. Seems I'm getting into a nasty habit of coming back within 5 minutes or less of him leaving. It's starting to get old I tell you. Hey anyone want to write a C++ program for me? You won't get paid for it (though I will). But I'm feeling a little lazy today and I have to have this done by Friday for 'work'. No takers? Nah I didn't think so. Ok so here's a little rundown of 'news' around here. VorTeX is sick and has the "martian death flu" and I quote him. I am doing more map work once again. I keep putting off what I REALLY want to do as it's going to take up a TON of time and I just don't have the energy (or time) to put forth into it just yet. Akula is doing research/work on a new map. What does that mean? Hell if I know but it sounds good. Hopefully the both of us will have some new screenshots to show off in a timely manner. Even if it is only a couple from each. Ok this brings me to my next point. I need some new friends. We'll just assume I'm a semi-intelligent person right? Yet I seem to keep picking friends who are as smart as three people put together. For example VorTeX and his 1500 on the SAT. Another example SCarton and his 1490. Another example, this kid from back home Tim who finished college in 3 and a half years and had a job before he graduated. So I surround myself with all these more than genius people and it has a tendency to make me feel rather stupid some days. So hopefully some year before I die I will run into VorTeX and we can get some shit fixed up on the page (Mind Games comes to mind, no pun intended). As weekly trivia has made it to more like bi-weekly. So bear with us in this slow period as it happens in everyone's life from time to time. Once things get moving again you'll be happy with the results I'm sure.

And yet another month is down the drain this year. Of course you all better cherish the last two months of your life. (we all know the world is going to end this year right?) Of course you realize I'm just fucking around. We couldn't be fortunate enough to be put out of our collective misery. Anyways I had a point in updating this today. Lets see if I can recall it. As I sit here and scratch my head trying to recall. Here's a 'funny' story. For my Software Engineering class I'm writing a visual interface for this robot. It's dos interface just sucks to use. Anyways I had to have a certain task finished and working for Thursday of this week. So I got all ambitious and went up to the AI lab Saturday afternoon. Things were going fine until I broke the bot. Oopps! Actually I didn't techinically break it but it doesn't work right anymore. I actually have no real clue what happen but I know he's fucked up now. So I would have had it all finished for Saturday, way ahead of time. So I couldn't even test my new stuff as the bot wasn't even responding anymore. So I thought I'd go up there today and see if leaving it sit for a couple days would automagically fix it. Of course it didn't. At least it's responding to commands and then geeks the fuck out. So of course today I find out that today is like the one day a week that prof is not in his office all day. So I can't even ask him what in the hell until tomorrow now. Shit sucks around here some days I tell you! So what did you all end up doing for Halloween this past weekend? My 'highlight' was breaking the bot. If you got a kick ass kind of story about what you did, send it to me and I'll post it here for all to read. Oh yes now I recall one of the things I wanted to put up here. The guys over at Totality have put up a review of Cydonia. So go check it out and see how it scored acording to them. According to their news they say they will have Dethwell up today so keep an eye out for that too. I'm rather anxious to see what someone (as far as review sites go) has to say about it. And lastly my other main point for this post. If you run a server that has at least one of our maps then e-mail me and let me know. Read this file first before you contact me though. It explains what information I am looking for. If you have any questions about it after that then ask me. I hope to have the server list up maybe for this weekend. The page is all ready but I wanted more servers to list first. Besides I need a new graphic for the link to it in the menu bar since it's going to be a main part of the page now. Wonder how long it will take me to realize I forgot to post something?
