If there were some more QuakeC tutorials and a few handfuls of engine modding improvements (you personally are responsible for many, many of these) and an easier pathway to creating models, it would be.
The problem isn't that people want to create a Quake mod --- that's a great thing --- the problem is that the information is consolidated inside the heads of a few people instead of easily available in a wiki and via tutorials.
Hence, they have no choice but to ask for help.
I really would like to help change that.
But this is changing already but this takes too long to explain, but the short part is one driving force of this is going to be Remake Quake.
It is like a towering QuakeC modification that is also going to be open source with more features -- both single player ("earthquakes", func_ladder) and multiplayer (vote-map, frikbots, observer system).
Plus, well, I'm going to write some PSP tutorials very soon after I clear my queue (server browser in ProQuake = alpha stage, goes beta tomorrow then I ask you about Qrack, universal server, universal CSQC, etc.)
The hardest problem is getting models from model making applications to Quake.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

I see your point; another platform means more exposure. Personally, i doubt i could play CTF with my thumbs on a PSP, but other mods may be okay.

Can you email it to me at [email protected] ?
Thanks!
Any enhances, fixes, features I'll gladly send your way.
Hmm, actually I'm sure we could scrap together a quake/psp studio if enough people wanna join in.

I never referred to you by name in the comments because I didn't want it to come across as personal, but at the same time I wanted to stress that to act "professional" as an engine coder you do have to follow the license.

You want to download the following file:
DQuake0.44_SRC.zip | 10958 KB
Unfortunately right now our servers are overloaded and we have no more download slots left for non-members. Of course you can also try again later.
