Quake Expo 2011 is now underway and will last through June 25th. Quake Expo is a celebration of Quake and is open to the 3 open source Quake games (1, 2, 3), this year marking the 15th Anniversary of the release of the shareware version of the original Quake on June 22, 1996. This year has seen over a 100 sign-ups by Quake enthusiasts.

The most surprising release so far: Nahuel has released an open source HUD for DarkPlaces using CSQC (client side QuakeC). Read more ... There has also been some sort of RPG Quake mod by Necros released (but there appear to be no screenshots at this time).

Much more as the week ensues, no doubt ...
