You guys are silly, this isn't even an argument.

Batman is a rich guy who knows martial arts with a utility belt, he isn't a super hero he's like a more sexy version of kick ass. On the other hand superman is an alien specie and he has a shit load of things like his red beam from his eyes, he can see through walls, he has ice breath, he's insanely strong, he can fly, and he can take a lot of damage. All you need is kryptonite and superman turns into a baby, so unless batman can get his hands on kryptonite, he's fucked.

whereas batman actually makes some sense.

if they were fighting against each other for whatever reason, yeah, superman would beat batman without contest using some magic bat-repelant secretion from his ears or something.

batman is certainly rich enough to buy some kryptonite, if he can keep his identity secret for long enough, and then superman is just a pansy.
however, there's also a risk that batman will get distracted by an orgy with robin, so it's really hard to predict who would win!

Superman hands down. He cannot be hurt by batman. Superman is an extraterrestrial super being. Batman is a spoiled rich kid with toys.

I actually like Batman much more then Superman but in this comparison it would be like a house cat vs a Liger.

Superman does always seem to have a super power specially tailored for his "which ever moment of crisis he is in" moments which makes him seem a bit silly and "Childish". Batman however is a normal human being like you or me (just much much much richer and a traumatized past which lead him to a life of crime stopping. He's essentially "batty" and chases down crooks in hopes to one day face off with the thug(s) who killed his parents.

Superman is just to powerful and this poll is obv one sided if you stick to the source.

i dont know if anyone knows this, but the comics established batman never keeps kryptonite far. it would be a matter of batman getting to it before superman can stop him.
