perhaps its another model format and the extension was changed manually by the maker?

that would explain why programs dont wanna open it, cuz the file isnt of the format that the extension is

      .
are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?

everything that is out there for quake and both mission-packs, compiled into one massive thread

Is there a way to find out the real format?
also dr_mabuse1981 mentioned it was "a bit small for a model" so how did he know that?

By looking at the filesize??? LOL...

Anyway, this has only 17.6KB, and it seems not to be any Quake modelformat i know.

the first 4 bytes are AMDL. I found something called trid that attempts to tell you the filetype but I don't have time figure out how to make it work.

[RangerXT: How did you figure it out]

Simple, I opened it in wordpad and looked at the first 4 characters. They were AMDL.
