  • Three Wave CTF question

    Hi everyone,

I recently tried to downloaded the classic 3wave CTF and get it running. I'm using ProQuake (dx8pro493) on a home network. It does work, but there are a few issues I have and I was hoping someone out here could point me in the right direction to get them solved. Here are the problems:

    1) The old original maps that Zoid created by modifying Quake's original maps are all missing the flags. I'm talking about dm1 through e4m8 that are located in the ctf/maps folder.

    2) When someone picks up a flag, the model of the player glows like he has a quad instead of showing the flag on his back. I know from my days playing this back in 97 that there was either a version of CTF or a patch that allowed the flag carrier to show the flag on his back.

    3) When I grab the flag and run back to the base, there used to be a little thing were the flag would sort of pop into your view (like it was flapping around) really quick to let you know you've got it. This was helpful because it was possible to pick up the flag without realizing it during game play.

    4) Was there a fast grapple, or is there a setting to increase the grapple speed? I do recall that the grapple seemed faster than this one.

    5) Is there a way to get the regeneration rune to heal someone faster? There came a point where servers had regen healing both the health and the armor at a really fast rate to make more useful because it was pretty useless in it's original form.

Everything else about it seems to work, but missing those features, especially #2 makes it difficult to play. Does anyone know what I can do?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the link R00k! Hopefully I can track down all the features I'm missing from this list.
