  • Best netquake client for multiplayer?

Tried darkplaces and winquake and I noticed both of them have an annoying delay on jump if ping is beyond 200ms. I know that Quakeworld is an option, but I would feel comfortable to have good experience on both protocols. Also, I'm aware that netquake is not intended to play on high pings, but with the number of clients available... Who knows.

Since this is mostly a netquake community, thought I would gather better answers here. And yes, I'm a newcomer in the Quake game.

Welcome home bog. Hope you enjoy your stay. I personally use ProQuake 4.5 but it varies by the player. Now day's being an HPB 150+ ping is unknown unless you are playing on server's in other countries far away. Even my worst server's i ping 130 to them (Brazil). Hope to see you on a server soon.

Proquake 4.93 seems to be here, however if you need 4.5 try here.

          Hope this helps

From what Baker said before he left I got the impression that it was a seperate development stream and derived from something like Joe/Fitz rather than JPG's earlier proquake versions. Perhaps it was what he envisaged Proquake could one day become? It's a nice looking, smooth playing engine in my experience and it's a pity he didn't get to complete it to the standard he wanted
Note: I could be wrong about this

                Kind regards
