Has anyone had any luck running the Devil's Covenant files as found here:

I've looked for other links but sadly they all seem to be dead.
I've tried running the demo with the original Winquake, Proquake and Quakespasm.
The text file says there's an issue with GL ports but I thought I'd give QS a try since it emulates software rendering pretty well.
I really want to watch it and it looks like fun. I started watching the only upload on Youtube but the sound is terrible. The music is far too loud to hear the really boomy, muffled voices. I thought that perhaps I could run the demo through an engine and turn the music down.
Any help would be appreciated.
