need help with mods of quake terminus

    need help with mods of quake terminus

    Hey Baker, I was triying to run some mods of quake stored by quake terminus, but all modes say's some error message like this "can't load quess1.bsp", that is when I try to run Quake Chess or Quess; and it is the same thing with the all modes. I dont know what to do. Please could you help me?

    Open up c:\quake\id1 folder:

    Is pak0.pak = 17,848 KB?
    Is pak1.pak = 33,455 KB?

    I believe your pak files are corrupt based on previous conversations.

    Try replacing pak0.pak with this one and try replacing pak1.pak with this one.

    I don't know what you did to get your pak files messed up (were you playing with pak explorer?), but when I looked at those last time the file sizes were close, but wrong.

    Then try again and let me know what happens, when you try again.

      "can't load quess1.bsp" just implies that the engine can't find the map quess1.bsp that comes with the quess mod. Make sure you installed it properly and that you are starting with the correct command line (as in read the fucking manual).

        revilumi had pm'd some info, I assure you his pak files are corrupt. His pak1.pak is 29 MB or something and that isn't right at all.

        He has been using the proper command line as well.

          Hey Baker, I did what you tell me, but the error message still present "cant load maps/quess1.bsp". Sorry if I take too long to answer you. By the way, the fbca bot it looks that it doesn't work well, I've changed the pak's but nothing happens. Could you see whats happening please?
