    Who knows what problems there were with optical mice 7 years ago

        i used 1 back then but i had a logitech(no problems) maybe ur brand is crappy ^^

          I have my weapon fire alias on MOUSE1 and Jump on MOUSE2 (left and roight mouse buttons.)

          I just aim down and press both fire and jump at the same time and I produce good enough rocket jumps. For example in Gloom Keep (e1m5) I can rocketjump from the RL walkway to the exit door (or quad-RJ from the bottom to the exit door.)

          The next step is to aim behind yourself. Twitch the mouse 180 degrees and downward, fire+jump, lift off and twitch the mouse forward again.

          It's also pretty easy to bunnyhop with Jump on MOUSE2, although I learned that runequake players don't jump around much.

            its alot ezier to just use space bar cuz i have wsad and my pinky goes on the shift for change to lg and i got space for jump
