Everytime I try to connect to cheat-free servers I get that message. How do I correct it? Thanks.

From prior posts, it sounds like you are running registered Quake with ProQuake.
Did you vispatch your maps for transparent water or something?
If not, there aren't any guarantees except for maybe reinstalling Quake and ProQuake. A couple of players like sB were unable to connect to ProQuake cheat-free even after re-installing everything, so you may not be able to fix it (it worked again after sB got a new computer).
Someone said something about AMD processors not working properly with ProQuake cheat-free. I have no idea if this is true or not (or even how it could be true unless it has something to do with calculations in a 64-processor not quite matching 32-bit, so whatever ProQuake cheat-free does for calculations is wrong?).Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Most people with 64-bit CPUs are still on 32-bit XP (ie, 32-bit execution), so I doubt it's that. I'd assume it's more likely for the cheatfree element to be disliking something in the graphics drivers, but admittedly I'm still not 100% on how it all works.

Looking into the ProQuake source, I find this error to be reported as a result of incompatible crc's between the client's map and the server's map, "if (crc != sv.model_crc[i])". If this error only occurs on 1 server then maybe that server has modified its "dm3" as specified by Baker, or your copy of DM3 has been modifed (either purposely or disk error). Your best attempt to fix this is to reinstall Quake's original pak1.pak, or try another cheatfree server.

I have put Quake on a new computer recently because my old one crashed. Cheat-free worked on the old PC. I have not played in so long that I didnt have a copy anyway, and of course, did not back up my copy before the PC went down. This copy I got was from my brother. It is most likely been vis'd because he had clear water when he was running glquake. I did update the registered copy with ProQuake and it didn't help. Does anyone know how I can get the pak files I would need for this to work? I have been looking but have not found something that will just give me the pak files. Thanks for all your help people. And I am having soooo much fun playing again. It's a blast.
