  • Help with fuhQuake and bots on Mac OsX

    Howayez,

I recently stumbled a Mac OsX version of the old original Quake and, as I haven't played in years and years, I couldn't resist setting it up along with some frikbots - all of which worked perfectly. I then found the whole fuhQuake thing and despite not being very good at the technical side of all this, it was pretty easy to get going.

BUT I can't find ANY info on where to find, or how to run, any bots on the fuhQuake version on Mac OsX. The fuhQuake website just reads "access forbidden" - so no help there. Are bots possible on fuhQuake? Are they usable on Mac OsX?

If anyone has any info about what bots work, where to get them, and how to intsall and run them on a Mac (and it will have to be pretty simple as I'm a retard at this stuff! :d) ... I'd much appreciate it!

    Cheers,
    Eranoooooooo

I'd recommend trying the Quakeworld.nu forums for that question because it gets into a lot of complicated issues (particularly the Mac OSX part ).

The Frikbots you have wouldn't run under Quakeworld, although the FrikBot site probably does have a Quakeworld version in there somewhere.

The FuhQuake.net site went dead within the last year sometime.

I'd recommend asking about bots at the Quakeworld.nu forums. I'm sure they can tell you what you need.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a go. Although if it's complex then I'm guessing I'll only embarrass myself in any case.

      Cheers,
