  • Hi-res textures not working?

    I downloaded the hi-res textures from the FvF site and extracted them (.png) to ID1\textures yet when I start up darkplaces all of the textures are the same. I've tried it in vanilla quake and FvF.

    Edit: My whole directory tree is:

    C:\Games\FPS\Quake\ID1\Textures

    Within Textures I have a bunch of PNGs.
    A bartender is just a pharmacist with a limited inventory...

    If you mean the monster model textures, those instructions are for Qrack, not DarkPlaces.

    For DarkPlaces, you must put model textures in c:\quake\id1\progs.

    Either way, why not just download a prepackaged DarkPlaces PK3 from one of the sections here? DarkPlaces does not use the same file/folder structure as most of the other engines and the PK3 section, the downloads are specifically for DarkPlaces.
