quake 2 help?

whenever i reach the end of the supply depot area i get this msg

downloading players/male/weapon.md2
players/male/weapon.pcx

server initialzation...
61 entities inhibited
9 teams with 7 entities
changing, reconnectiong

ERROR

BAd surface extents

****************
shut down game
****************

wtf is this and how do i fix it
