  • Quake & Vista

Let me first say what this forum is NOT about: running Quake in Vista. I know how and have successfully done just that.

I have an old Quake shareware CD with Quake encrypted on it. Unfortunately, the installer itself is not compatible with Vista. I get a flow (cannot divide by zero) error message. I have tried running the installer in previous windows compatibility mode, with no success.

    Any ideas?

If I could run the installer on an older system just once, I would dump the entire disc and toss it. Is there a website that runs old windows emulation or even a downloadable program?
