  • Need help with ezquake

Hey guys how is it going? I am having a problem with ezquake, but before I tell you guys what I am going through I thought it would be appropriate to introduce myself.

I am a TF old timer. Started playing it when it first came out on Mplayer. Those were the good 'ol days. I don't know if any of you here go back that far but I was in a clan called HX ( Hell Xpress ). Well, here I am some 11 years later fiending for a game of TF. I'm happy to say that I got my fix tonight, and boy is there a lot of rust. I seriously suck now, but atleast i get to drink a beer now while i play instead of kool aid

Now for my problem. I am using the enhanced quake 1 version for windows xp. And I am using ezquake to connect to matches. Everything is working fine except for one thing. Everytime I shutdown quake completely and then go play a game later on, I always have to setup my config all over again. It remembers my controlls but it doesn't remember my binds. Like grenades and reload, etc. Sorry for the long first post. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The best place to ask questions regarding EZQuake in the clients forum at Quakeworld.nu where the developers can answer them:

    http://www.quakeworld.nu/forum/viewforum.php?id=8

If I recall correctly, EZQuake has a setting to automatically save binds but it was broken in version 1.9.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
