when i try to run a GL client, the machine tells me that the glide2x.dll file is missing.
delete opengl32.dll from the quake folder. or any opengl .dll there.
Rook, just FYI ... you can't have that problem with ProQuake 3.99.
ProQuake 3.99 won't run if an opengl32.dll is found in the Quake folder and displays a message saying you need to delete or rename that file.
Much better than the ambiguous "glide2x.dll" message or 65536 colors message.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
well, the "CA hates me" problem seems to be fixed.
but latency issues? well...
EDIT: aaaaaaactually, Baker, GLPro399 was what was telling me about glide2x.dll. it didnt say shit about an openGL file. D3Dpro399 told me to delete the openGL file.
