The reason I ask is I did some light Googling and it sounds like this is related to an old graphics card as far as I can tell. I keep seeing the words Voodoo graphics card. If so, you may actually need opengl32.dll drivers in your Quake folder.

I havent ran it for awhile. I clicked on something in my quake folder and quake got fucked up. I re-downloaded it and now it wont work.
First it said i needed to get glide2x.dll so i got that, ANd now it say's the genport.

1. Try adding -gamma to your command line. If that fails, proceed to #2.
2. Try -no8bit to your command line and try it. If that fails, proceed to #3.
3. Try -nomtex to your command line and try it. If that fails, do #4.
4. Try -no8bit and -nomtex to your command line and try it.
If all of the above fail, use d3dpro399.exe (it's in the same zip as glpro399.exe) instead of glpro399.exe. d3dpro often works where glpro fails because it doesn't use OpenGL drivers and uses Direct3D instead.
You might also try JoeQuake or Qrack if none of the above work.
/If you get it work, please post back what fixed it because some others have said they have a similar problems recently. I'm wondering if the latest drivers for GeForce aren't the problem.
