  • "Deathblur" on Qrack

While I was playing Qrack, whenever I died I thought the game was lagging or something, but I later found out that it was a feature on Qrack called something like "deathblur", and that it can be turned off.

I looked for this in the client's options and could not find a feature like that. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My guess is that it is a command that should be put into the console (deathblur 0, ect.) or can be put into my autoexec, but the deathblur kind of hinders my gameplay on Qrack, so lately I've only used it for coop.

    Yes,

    gl_beergoggles
    gl_nightmare
    gl_deathblur <-- set to 0
    gl_hurtblur

might cause increased fps/lag especially if you are using an ATI card.

Gotcha. I'll set that as soon as I get home.

      Thanks!

I tried it out and it works great! I didn't have any lag problems and it definately fixed what was messing me up.

I don't know if I'll ultimately switch to Qrack or if I'll stay with DarkPlaces, but I'll definately go back and forth between the two.

        Thanks again!
