    Hi fellas

    Some might remember me as a Quake-a-ronie that came here few months back, but that don't matter really...

    What matters is that today I somehow came to this page and installed Quake again...to have some fuuuun...

    And...after installin MARVELOUS looking new qRack, I lost all my controls.

    I can't take a screenshot, ~ doesn't get the console, and so on...

    So I tried making cfg files, config and autoexec...

    They look like this

    I've tried it, it don't work...and also...one thing really bugs me...I cant remember my keyboard settings anymore

    Therefore I can't strafe? Really...I persume I made some adjustments in config before, to bind the left key to sidestep to the left, but I can't remember how, and this screenshot adjustment don't work either.

    But the crosshair shows up tho, and mlook works.

    Help a noob!

    If you are using Qrack, there should be a /qrack/ folder inside your Quake folder.

    Make an autoexec.cfg inside your /qrack/ folder and add your commands there.

      And I really have only 3 quesitons...

      1. Since qRack is engine of my choice (DP is just too slow on my PC) is it any of benefit if I install that mega texture pack that I saw on shub-hub, the file has somewhat around 1 GB

      2- Is it possible to make some lightning improvements in qRack? When I get close to a light, the weapon doesnt change to surrounding light...rather it stays original...so if I'm close to some yellow light source, my weapons don't get that yellowish reflection...

      This isn't a imperative, if it's a line to add in CFG for that ok, but it doesn't bother me that much..

      3. Music. Can I somehow make the game play mp3 - or mount via Alcohol and then make it play original Quake music from there?

        PS I forgot to write it, but DAMN I just can't make a keyboard layout comfortable enough for me, I don't remember how I got it binded when I last played the game this summer...

        I've tried as you see to fiddle with left side of the keyboard...I had it set up on the left side, but really it just doesn't seem right...

        So if anyone has his single-player keyboard layout, share it, maybe it sheds a light for me because right now I just keep picking up the mouse all the time and it's making the gameplay clumsy and slow...
