  • Darkplaces .skin Files

    ok i've read the txt file i've searched the forums and even looked at q3 .skin files but nothing i've found will get a skin working on a md3 file. the model works, and the filename is correct: model.mdl_0.skin

    but what goes inside? i can't find out that the model is called: torso/head/what?
    it's a one part model

    I've run into .md3 files I couldn't figure out how to make work in DarkPlaces.

    Most of the md3 models that I have that work with DarkPlaces, the skin goes in the quake\id1\textures folder expecting that the skin is a .tga. When you start up DarkPlaces read the console to see whether it says a file wasn't found (that is the expected skin name).

    If that doesn't work, I'd really recommend asking on the DarkPlaces IRC channel.
