  • Pawn moving issue in Quess

It's a long shot that someone will know the answer but I'll give it a try.

Anyway, I am trying to revive the Quess mod with some eyecandy and QW
    capabilities (http://img77.imageshack.us/my.php?im...uake000fn6.png),
but there is a problem - once I select any piece and tell it to move, it wont.
There is no reaction for clicking on the highlighted destination spot.
It's not a QW issue cause I also tried it on Netquake client and it
    didn't work.

I also vaugly remember I had the same problem years ago running it in Winquake but I have a feeling I fixed that somehow. I just can't remember how and if this memory is real

Would wnyone know what I'm talking about?

Hmm, I've never seen that mod! Looks cool. I would assume that the best way to move those entities would be to adjust their velocity, instead of a looping update of their origins.

      edit:
ok I found the original zip
      and the readme

      INSTRUCTIONS

Quess is quite intuitive, but there are a few rules and controls
      worth learning.

      Controls:

Normal Quake controls are used for looking around.
      Shift - move forward
      RMB/Return - move backward
LMB/Space - select a piece or move it (select again to deselect)
C - toggle Camera between flying and walking
      M - notify other player of "Check-Mate"
P - Pass turn (must use when in Check-Mate)
H - Help (err, I forgot the keys..)
W - toggle mouse in window mode (WinQuake only)
Okay, "quake -game quess +teamplay 0", I finally got the game to work. It's quite nice...
This mod could use a cleanup but theres no source available
