currently, I use GLquake and DPNehahra to run quake. Is there a way to turn off the cd audio initization? I don't have cd tracks, and the cd audio system to conflict with one of my other programs (VDMSound)

    -nocdaudio in command line
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Sadly, I found out that the cd audio was not the source of the problem.

Does anybody here use VDMSound + NOLFB to run Blood? If I run quake after I ran blood, my comp crashes with a blue screen of death and tells my comp has a serious problem. Did anybody experience anything like that?

I used to play Blood with VDMsound. I didn't find it had any conflict with quake.

Maybe you could try playing Blood in Dosbox. That is, if your computer can handle it well enough.

Or, maybe you could try other quake engines.
