  • help! glpro renders in pure white

As the title suggests, glpro (version 3.5 and baker's latest 3.99) render in white, as it would if I had no graphics card. However I started glquake.exe which comes with quake when you install it and that works fine, but I would like to get glpro working.

Try adding this to the commandline:

Cool. Sounds like the definitive fix for that in the future.

/I don't know if there is a performance difference between the behavior of -no8bit and without. If there isn't, -no8bit would certainly be a future candidate for the default behavior. Most engines do that.

performance differences should be neglegable anyway. This is 2008 and Quake is 12 years old. Computers shipping today could easily handle pretty much any form of Quake that doesn't have super texture packs with the integrated graphics processors they're packing.
