  • Changing resolution via autoexec.cfg

How can I set my video screen to 1024x768 using the autoexec.cfg?

or, is there a way to save a .cfg file of your own? i'm using base quake, and don't want any updated engine... do you guys have a solution?

I'm not using the startup command line because i'm playing through Steam and it doesn't allow me to use it...

edit: ok i worked out the resolution problem... but how can i save a config of mine using a command in-game? i heard about a writeconfig "confignamehere" command, but it doesn't work for me...

Yeah that isn't a feature of the unmodified Quake, only enhanced engines.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
