  • Rygel's Ultra with Bumpmaps???

Hey, dumb question but does the Rygel Ultra (or lesser) texturepacks have bumpmapped/relief-mapped textures?

If so, how do you get Darkplaces to show them (or show bumpmaps in general)?

(I have Darkplaces 2007 098 at the moment)

I found some other threads on DP bumpmapping- but am embarassed to say they were all more advanced than me!

First install a recent build of Darkplaces.

Then go to the console and enter r_glsl_offsetmapping 1
Alternatively or for more options, enter r_glsl and press the Tab key. It will show further options to this and explain them. The number in parenthesis is the default.

r_glsl_offsetmapping : "0" ("0") : offset mapping effect (also known as parallax mapping or virtual displacement mapping)
      r_glsl_offsetmapping_reliefmapping : "0" ("0") : relief mapping effect (higher quality)
      r_glsl_offsetmapping_scale : "0.04" ("0.04") : how deep the offset mapping effect is
