  • Problems loading saved games -Dark Places/Nehara-

    Hey all, good to be here; didn't see an 'introduce yourself' thread so I take it you lot are pretty informal, which is nice. Sorry if there is one and I'm breaking protocol...

    Hope someone can help; I'm only just getting into more 'hand's on' gaming so apologies if I appear noobish; I have searched for an answer but haven't come across one;
    Playing Nehahra using the Dark Places mod I can save my game fine (saves as 01sav 02sav etc), but when looking in the load menu there are no save games to be found. When looking in the directories I can see that the save files are being stored in the Nehahra directory, but for some reason the game isn't accessing it. I read somewhere that GLquake had an issue like this that got fixed with an update, but I can't find any information in regards to Dark Places having a similar problem. Everything else with the mod seems to work fine (though I haven't gone far into the game; I'm anticipating much frustration if I can't load a game after blasting away for ages and saving at a crucial point). The only other problem I get is a glwrap (I think that's right) error as the game switched between cutscenes, although that's got to be unrelated...?

    Thanks in advance for any help you can give, although I'm slow catching up with all these quake mods I've read a lot of good stuff about the Nehahra development, and the introduction demo/cutscene certainly had me giggling.

    *Just had a play around and it does the same thing with other games, e.g. quake, aliens etc. So, it's either something up with Dark Places or something that I haven't done right with it. Most likely it's the latter...

        Closed; turns out the version of Dark Places I was using was a bit buggy, downloaded and used the latest version and all is well.
