    Why are the ogres and zombies not Z aware?
    No patch for Quake addresses this problem, did id do that for a reason?

    Why are the Quake monsters not hurt from lava but are hurt from lava nails (and take more damage form them than regular nails)?

    They also do not drown - a scrag followed me through the entire lake in the Gristly Grotto

      I'm sure, that at least some monsters get hurt by lava and will die eventually. But I'm not sure if in original Quake levels or in some mod that I played, I'll try it, out of curiosity.

      Completely off topic, but your avatar brings back memories ROOk. Thx for reminding me, gonna fire up Dosbox and enjoy that piece again, it's been quite some time I saw it. And heard it.

        They ran out of time and needed to just ship the damn thing, that's all. The development of Quake was NOT a pleasant experience, the entire direction of the game was changed almost at the last moment, so what did come out was incredibly cranky, puzzling and rough around the edges.
