  • Playing music for a level? Quake 3

    Just wondering if someone would cut a snipit of a worldspawn file and give a walkthrough or an explanation of how to include music for a level. I am using GTK Radiant for map editing. I have some original music/score pieces that I would like to try out in a test level that I am working on.

    Thanks!

    Code:
    {
    "classname" "worldspawn"
    "sounds" "6"
    }
    In this example, I think the map in DarkPlaces would play quake\id1\sound\cdtracks\track005.ogg

    The track name gets -1 added to it.

    Archaic? I think so. Still ... the cd track is a byte in standard Quake's protocol so it has to be a number. Would be much better to have the sound track be "mozart.ogg" or whatever, but that isn't supported.
    Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

    So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
