Well I have figure out the flashlight mod. But I have these entities in the middle of my screen how do I get rid of them.progs000001.jpg

The traditional Quake flashlight tends to use a null.mdl (which is the invisible model that renders the glow effect), which would seem to be missing in your screenshot so DarkPlaces renders a missing model placeholder.

I have a null.src file should I just change the name to .mdl. I am a noob when it comes to this more advanced stuff. I changed the file name and placed the file in every directory in the quake folder with no difference, is there a file I am supposed to delete. Or am I supposed to replace a file in .pak or .pk3. The mod uses certain models that that are missing or in the wrong folder.
Usually mods are installed in their own folder under /quake, like /quake/mymod
You would then have to use quake.exe -game mymod to point quake to use the folder "mymod" as the starting place to look for media for that mod. The polychromatic cubes in your screenshot indicate that DarkPlaces is using them instead of crashing because the mod cant find it's required model files.Comment
