  • Source Code available for Mission Packs ?

    Hello,

is the source for Mission Pack 1 and 2 available ?
Until now I never stumbled across it

I ask because I want to integrate my Mini-Mods into the mission pack progs.dats as well.
There is a file on the DarkPlaces homepage called miniDevKit, which contains the ID1 V1.06 source and the great FTE compiler.
I used this miniDevKit as the base for my Mini-Mods.

Now the problem is, as everybody knows, I cannot use these mods for Mission Pack 1 and 2 due to missing code for:
    - new enemies
    - new powerups
    - new abilities
    -

I would be very thankful if someone can lead me to a link with the source for MP1 and MP2 (if they exist).
Editing those to implement my Mini-Mods there as well is the easier part then.

Thank you for your help and effort.
I will of course upload and share my work with you afterwards !

    Best Regards,
    Seven

    Quake Navigator

    Click QuakeC

Rogue devkit and hipnotic devit, the QuakeC sources are in those archives.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Well damn years ago that would of been nice to of had.
Few years back I found a progs.dat decompiler and had to fix alot of the code as once decompiled, it "broke" some parts of the code.

@Seven, maybe with this you could change the way the Plasma gun flys to fix the glitch in darkplaces (make it fly differently but keep speed/damage/effects)

          ooppee,

in my opinion, and I guess this is the rule for everyone building those great engines for Quake
like LH, MH, R00k, Baker and many more, the original progs.dat should never be touched.

The bug in DP at the moment will and must be killed by LordHavoc himself.

Otherwise the complete base, where all engines build on, will be broken/corrupted.
This would lead to a dead end.

I have big confidence in LH.
He will create a new beta once he has the time...

          Best wishes,
          Seven

Absolutely agreed. If the original Quake engines ran it fine, then so should a modified engine.
