Alien Quake-Flare problem

Hi!

I installed the Alien Quake mod from this site, and it works fine but I have one problem.

The flare doesn't work. The read me says to press "F" to get a flare but when I do, I get sent to the beginning of the level with what appears to be the flamethrower. It doesn't even work! It has the little flame to ignite the gas but that's it.

The maps have some really dark places and I imagine I am walking right past doors and secrets.

Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, how can I fix it?

Oh! Also, does anyone know where I can get a walkthrough for this mod? If I can get that I can find the secrets in the dark.

Lol, yeah, that would be disturbing!

Anyway, I know it's discontinued but I still got it here. I figured someone has played it and run into this problem. There is no text file explaining where things are like some mods. I just want to get the most out of the game.

Just be glad no one called you kimp brah, then the FOQ would be here telling us how he told us so, n stuff!!

Walter, there really isn't much gonna be known about that mod,since its been quite some time since it was last worked on,and its unlikely anyone has minor or major experience playing with the mod.

thats how I remember it. Its actually I pretty well done mod. I would have liked to see how it would have been with more time to develop.

Yeah, they issued a cease and desist order basically. The mod is still fun to play but I like to find everything on a level. It really tweaks me when i can see a room but I can't get to it!
