Moving Worldcraft 3.3

I don't want to waste my time doing something that won't work, so I'm asking here first.

Apparently Worldcraft doesn't like it if your Quake engine is on another drive than Worldcraft come compile time, so keep your Quake engine on the c:\ somewhere.

Because of my hard drive setup, I can't really do this. Would it be acceptable if I moved worldcraft to the drive I have Quake installed on instead of the other way around?
