Demo playback in Darkplaces

Alright, so I started to ask a question over in my other thread here, but I found it more feasible to toss a thread here about it.

I am trying to get darkplaces client to basically play a demo in slow motion. I've tried cl_demospeed, which doesn't work, and sys_ticrate, which also doesn't work.

I've also tried recording a demo of a demo in other clients with cl_demospeed set lower, which works to playback the demo, and does record a demo, but seems to not record it properly(trying to playback the demo recorded does not work - instantly ends the demo after start).

Anyone know how I could slow down demo playback in darkplaces?

is the cvar, thanks to Seven! Sled god does it again!
