  • [Links] Finding Textures in the net

    Hello,

for those people out there (like me) who dont have Photoshop, but are interested in
creating skins, textures and other graphical stuff, I put together some links
    where to find good ones:

    filterforge.com
    sharecg.com
    flickr.com
    bildburg.de
    en.cze.cz/Textures

There you will find also seamless textures, which are necessary to create wall or sky textures for example.
Even normal, bump textures are available.

If you know more/better pages, please share it.

    Thank you.

It's important to remember that Filterforge is trialware... and does require a bit of post processing after a texture is created for it to be a usable texture... I haven't paid for it but have tested it out on a few things; it's very nice, especially for photography.

        Hello enki,

you can download any of the 1 million texture at filterforge.com (without watermark or anything).
You do not need to install anything. You can use the texures right away.
I dont know what you mean with trialware...

        Kind Regards,
        Seven.

What I was getting at is that Filter Forge 2.0 software with CS support is 30 day trialware. Yes, you can download a lot of textures from that site, and some of them tile nicely... With TF2.0 software though, making textures: without post-production, you're going to have a lot of textures that you'll be hard pressed to get into a map nicely and work well with others.

          It's all good
