  • please help install Nehahra with Puppy Linux

Can someone please help me install Nehrha on my Puppy Linux box?

I love Quake I, and heard a lot of good things about Nehahra..

    thanks a million!

Download the zip from nehahra.zip - Nehahra by Nehahra Team
Extract it so that the included nehahra/ directory is on the same level as your id1/ directory.

Unfortunately Fitzquake and its forks do not yet support nehahra, same for Tyrquake or any other faithful engine. So you are bound to use Darkplaces. Simply it launch with -nehahra as commandline parameter.

I suggest setting all its sv_gameplayfix_* variables to 0. And obviously don't use the glittery blingbling effects.

Create a shortcut to darkplaces and add:
          -nehahra
          or (if that doesn't work)
          -game nehahra

so the shortcut would be similar to this:
          "C:\quake\darkplaces.exe" -nehahra
          or
          "C:\quake\darkplaces.exe" -game nehahra

            @ Wally

try and read through this parallel topic, that were opened by kingennio.
            It has the same topic.
I have wrote some instructions there.

            @ ooppee

there is a difference in starting with or without "-game" command.
You should not use the "-game" command for Nehahra or Mission Packs.

            Kind Regards,
            Seven
